Global healthcare communications agency, Havas Lynx, is bursting with pride, following the announcement that CCO, Tom Richards, is to sit on the Health & Wellness judging panel at the prestigious Cannes Lions Awards.
It is the largest gathering of worldwide advertising professionals, designers, digital innovators and marketers. The Health & Wellness Lion celebrates creativity for personal wellbeing through work that demonstrates an inspired approach to consumer healthcare.
Being invited to judge at Cannes places Tom among an elite, hand-picked group of the most influential creative leaders from around the world. Tom’s boundless energy and passion for creativity has made a huge impact at Havas Lynx, where he drives creative standards.
In just three short years since his appointment as CCO, Tom has grown the creative department to over 70, hired six new Creative Directors, and helped bring home 56 awards for the agency.
Commenting on his new judging role and wider achievements, Tom said:
“It’s an honour to be part of this elite panel of creative professionals at the Cannes Lions Awards, who’s work collectively spans every area of healthcare and pharma, and who’s contribution to healthcare marketing is awe-inspiring. I’m really looking forward to seeing the shortlisted work, which as always, consists of the boldest and most progressive campaigns in the world.
“I’m immensely proud to represent Havas Lynx alongside some of the best creative leaders in the industry from all over the world. But as well as being in the privileged position of judging outstanding work, I’m also excited about the conversations and debates that will undoubtedly spring from this annual meeting of brilliant creative minds. It’s a fantastic opportunity for everyone to come together to discuss what is ultimately one common goal – to maintain standards of life-saving creativity. I can’t wait to share my thoughts and learnings with the creative people that I look up to.
“Together we have the power to improve and even change lives, which is not something I take for granted. And as an agency, I know how vital our role in this is. That’s why I consider myself extremely fortunate to lead some of the most imaginative and passionate creatives in healthcare communications.”
The Cannes Lions Health and Wellness Awards will this year take place on June 18.
