A global specialist in customer engagement has been appointed as Managing Director to lead the expansion of Havas Lynx’s London office.

Elizabeth Egan, who has nearly 30 years’ experience working with AstraZeneca, Weight Watchers and Electronic Arts, will lead the team based in London to deliver innovative communications that equip patients and healthcare professionals with the tools they need to improve healthcare systems for all.

She takes over from Tim Woodcock, who launched the London office in 2012 and is now working with the senior leadership team to execute ambitious plans for further international growth.

“This is an opportunity that really excites me and gives me the chance to connect patients, professionals and brands with information, services and tools that drive new relationships and better outcomes,” explained Elizabeth.

“Havas is all about bringing ‘change’ in healthcare and the London office has a major role to play in delivering campaigns to our worldwide client base that reiterate this message. Having a base in the capital is also key to continuing to attract the best creative, digital and account management talent in the industry.”

Havas Lynx has grown from a small creative agency formed in the Northern Quarter of Manchester into a global healthcare communications agency, offering campaign development, brand strategy, capability building and education services.

It celebrated its 30th birthday in 2016 and over the last two years has grown almost 20%, creating over 60 new jobs to take its global workforce to 300.

David Hunt, CEO of Havas Lynx, was delighted with the latest appointment: “We have known Elizabeth for many years, working most recently with her to help drive AstraZeneca’s global strategy for innovation.

“She is extremely passionate about people and leveraging their skills and creative thinking to deliver solutions. Her significant experience of the consumer sphere and the retention of consumers on regime plans will also be very valuable to a number of our future campaigns.”

He concluded: “Our London office plays a vital role in servicing our clients around the world, with our exceptionally talented staff producing world-class, award-winning campaigns that set new standards in healthcare.

“The plans for our London team are incredibly ambitious and I am extremely excited to see the team continue to excel under Elizabeth’s expert leadership.”
